"Shift left" - What, Why and How?
This conference is aimed at all those involved in supporting digital services in both the private and public sectors. Meet speakers and experts who will describe how to develop and improve your service desk or customer support, to become better at creating value for your customers and stakeholders. "Shift left" is an accepted concept that means moving both knowledge and support closer to the customer. This could be, for example, developing its knowledge database and management of the same or ensuring that it has a well-functioning self-service portal. Anything that makes it easier for those who meet the customer is part of "Shift left". It will therefore focus on WHAT it is that needs to be done to succeed, WHY it is absolutely necessary and HOW it is done to take the right steps towards "Operational Excellence" within each Service and Support Organisation.
Many are now reviewing their ITSM tools and case management which will be included as a separate track and topic this time. The right guides and tool support for increased self-support will also be a separate focus area at the conference. Enterprise service management (ESM) is a set of principles and concepts that can be used by most organizations; from small businesses to government agencies and global brands. It simply takes the best ITSM principles that IT organizations have relied on for years and applies them in additional areas. The fundamental goal of ESM is to help organizations improve their efficiency, workflow, employee responsiveness, and employee satisfaction across all departments of the organization.
Organizations implement service management processes and tools for the same reasons behind most strategic initiatives: increased productivity, efficiency and quality. Because ESM is customer-focused and organization-based, it is a concept that can drive many important improvements within a company. Some common examples where ESM can be applied include HR, finance, legal, facilities management and customer service functions.
