Doctors Without Borders is an international movement working in over 70 countries to provide care and alleviate suffering where it is most needed. The organization was founded in France in 1971 by a group of journalists and doctors. Their goal was to create an independent organization focused on providing rapid, effective, and impartial emergency medical assistance. An organization that raises its voice against abuse and injustice, and puts people before politics.

The organization was founded on the belief that all people should have access to healthcare regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, or political affiliation, and that people's medical needs outweigh respect for national borders.
