Nowaste Logistics is one of the leading logistics companies in the Nordic region and currently employs nearly 700 people and operates several terminals in different locations. The company is value-driven and places great emphasis on leadership and people development.
Founded in 2008, Nowaste was an early adopter of advanced automation to streamline warehousing, picking and packing.
Nowaste originated in what can be called extremely fast moving consumer goods, i.e. the fresh fruit and vegetable segment, but is today active in most industries. However, their DNA from fruit and vegetables remains and the quest to drive development forward in technology and software are two important components along with culture and leadership. Through core competencies in automation, IT and leadership, the company works to increase its clients' competitiveness and conditions for development.
When the need arose to implement a new portal where the company's customers could create and manage their cases, they happily chose Zendesk Suite Enterprise as their platform, and Synerity as their local partner.
- We got a new customer who had specific requirements for a portal where they could create their own customer cases, get a better overview of their orders, report errors, etc. It was clear to us quite early on that Zendesk's platform was the best option, as we wanted a solution whose strength was precisely customer service. But we were also looking for a partner who could contribute with experience, flexibility and smart solutions during implementation. That's why we started working with Synerity.
- Together, through extensive rebuilding and customization of Zendesk's solution, we have built the portal called Nowaste Navigator. Each customer has their own login page and can manage their employees' access to the portal and the various functions. It has good scalability and where security has been in focus to ensure the separation of the different customer organizations' data, says Junes Jaddid, IT Development Manager at Nowaste Logistics.
Today, major clothing companies, construction and hardware chains, home furnishing giants, food retailers and many other businesses are housed in the terminals established by Nowaste.
What has been the response from customers?
- Customers have been thrilled with the new portal. It's something they've never seen before, and we've really pushed the boundaries and thought outside the box with Synerity's consultant. Overall, it feels very functional and stylish and breathes our brand. In the long run, we hope to expand the use of the portal to all our customers, so that they can manage their own self-service while it becomes a digital window to the customer.

The challenge:
Nowaste Logistics needed a user-friendly customer portal where their logistics customers could get a better overview of their current orders, history and also be able to ask questions and report a delivery error, etc.
The solution:
Nowaste chose Zendesk Suite Enterprise as the platform and with the help of extensive rebuilding and customization of the Zendesk portal, as well as integrations with both Nowaste's internal systems and external tracking systems, we together developed the customer portal that came to be called Nowaste Navigator. The solution has a robust and scalable architecture where security has been in focus to ensure the separation of different customer organizations' data. In the portal, selected customers can also administer their own employees for access to the portal and the various functions. From the administrator side, Nowaste customer service employees can access all essential information about the current delivery directly in the case, making it easy to manage and respond to the cases that come in.
